Paradox Interactive, Arrowhead Game Studios and the colorfully robed wizards of Magicka would like to apologize to their fans for being unable to attend this year’s Comic-Con International in San Diego. The wizards found themselves unexpectedly tied up, unable to reach the convention after a run-in with some colleagues from The Other Side of the Coin, a new expansion to their award-wanting game series. Dipping into their vast reservoir of spells, the Magicka magicians got themselves stuck in the middle of an… “incident” with an overzealous member of Alucart’s necromancers. One of the wizards managed to sneak out some video of the confrontation – be glad you’re able to attend Comic-Con, and not sitting the whole thing out like the gentleman wizard in this footage: [LINK]
The Other Side of the Coin is the latest addition to the Magicka library, allowing players to step into the shoes of the bad guys – and then realize they really should have disinfected those shoes. Play as Alucart the Vampire and his necromancer henchmen, and show those good guys what real power looks like, tastes like, and smells like. The Other Side of the Coin is available pretty much everywhere Magicka is available, including Steam, GamersGate, and maybe even in San Diego if you have an internet connection there.
