Mister X is at it again.  The world famous criminal has disappeared into the streets and alleys of London’s nightlife, and it’s up to the detectives of Scotland Yard to find him before he gets away yet again.

Scotland Yard was first released as a board game in 1983, where it went on to win a plethora of awards throughout both the US and Europe.  The game, which has sold over 4 million copies since it’s release, has finally made its way onto iPhones and iPads the world over.

The gameplay see’s players choosing between playing as the detectives, or as Mister X himself.  The detectives attempt to corner or catch Mister X as he travels through London, either on foot, by taxi, train, or bus. With only his discarded tickets to go on, it’s a race against the clock to see if Mister X gets away once again, or England’s finest can bring him back to the Yard.

“The game has been a huge cult classic since it’s creation, and it was a natural choice to bring to iOS” said Thomas Bleyer, Managing Director of Ravensburger Digital.  “And by working with FDG Entertainment, the creators of Cover Orange, we’ve been able to make something really special out of it, including a new setting and voice chat during multiplayer sessions.”

The game is a universal app, and will be available in the AppStore worldwide for a special launch price of just $4.99.
