Knitted Pixels is releasing a Public Beta of “Defenders of the Last
Colony”, a twin stick shooter mixed up with some strategy elements, to
be release soon on PC and XBLIG.

The Starians are decimating the Human Colonies. The last Colony is
traveling through the galaxy to find a peaceful place to live. To
protect them they rely on 4 ships, 2 builders and 2 fighters, they can
create shields and turrets and shoot missiles, but they have to gather
blue matter to be able to jump to the next sector.
Defenders of the Last Colony features up to 4 players coop, beautiful HD
graphics with plenty of particle and lens effects, 12 different areas to
explore and mini games in the form of classic 2D shooter games.
in Beta and you can download it free of charge, after release it will
cost $5.
