Details…

The team behind GRAVITAZ, an independently-developed high-speed combat hover-racing game, was on location today outside of a local raceway. According to eyewitness accounts, they showed signs of having undergone severe g-forces. They had just concluded a race, undertaken to gain a keener understanding of the forces a real racer undergoes, in which the lead designer’s daughter took home the prize pot of a free round of minigolf.

In GRAVITAZ, players fly jet-propelled hover vehicles for fame and glory on the rough-and-tumble courses of the world’s first antigravity racing league. Players compete with computer and ghost opponents against time on delicate tracks scaffolded over the faces of skyscrapers and down through city streets with a diverse pool of vehicles, from scratch-built garage projects to high-end sponsored racers. It’s like nothing else on earth – neither go-karts nor Formula 1 can prepare the racers for what they’ll meet on the track.

“Gravitaz is going to take off, it’s just a matter of time,” says Dennis Dryden, cofounder of Glass Bottom Games. “I want to get it to you soon, but I’ll take years if I have to. I want to say thank you to all of the people who have pledged so far – we’re extremely grateful for your support – and with any luck, we’ll hit our goal this week. See you on the other side, pilots!”
