Major League Gaming (MLG) today announced that fighting games will be featured in the 2012 Pro Circuit Spring Season.  On Saturday, April 28, MLG will host its first Fighting Game Arena at the MLG Studio in New York City.  The Top 8 finishers from the Mortal Kombat and Soul Calibur V tournaments at the Winter Championship last month will be flown to NYC, all expenses paid, to compete in the one day event on the PlayStation 3 (PS3™) system. The Spring Fighter Arena will be broadcast LIVE online – SD viewing will be free and HD viewing passes will be available for $4.99. The full broadcast schedule and additional details will be released in the coming weeks.  Players will compete for $3,400 in each game.

The Spring Season will culminate with the Spring Championship June 8-10 at the Anaheim Convention Center where the top gamers will compete playing Mortal Kombat, Soul Calibur V, and KING OF FIGHTERS XIII on PS3. Format details, prizing, rules and competition formats for each game will be announced in the coming weeks.

Venue spectator passes for the Spring Championship are available now and competitor passes will be available on May 1 at 7pm ET.
