A week after announcing that the leading social sound platform had reached a staggering 10 million members, SoundCloud has teamed up with videogames developer and publisher Capcom to support the Street Fighter X Tekken consumer PR campaign in the UK.

Capcom is asking fans of both Street Fighter and Tekken to create their own tracks using vocal samples from each of the games. The best shortlistedtracks will be showcased at the Street Fighter X Tekken launch event in London on the 29th of February and two finalists (one Street Fighter and one Tekken) will be picked to battle it out and produce an ultimate winner.

The competition is running through a bespoke Facebook app developed by Lucid Online’s creative team, the mechanic is provided entirely by SoundCloud using the dropbox system for entries and hooking directly into the app so that entrant’s tracks appear instantly on the page for others to listen to.

SoundCloud is providing a premium account as part of the prizepackage and supporting the remix competition with promotion via all its digital outlets – Facebook, Tumblr and Twitter.

Street Fighter X Tekken is released in the UK on the 9th March 2012. Available on PS3 and Xbox 360 and PC at a later date.
