KDW

We got the opportunity to swing by Kentuckiana Diehard Wrestling located at the Jeffersonville Arena in Jeffersonville, IN.

This family friendly event provides excellent entertainment at an affordable price and in our opinion is a terrific place to spend a Sunday evening.  Tickets are $5 at the door and concessions are some of the cheapest you will find anywhere.  We absolutely love supporting local entertainment and after attending last night’s show, this event comes highly recommended.

It’s important to remember that this isn’t the WWE or Impact Wrestling, so the budget difference here will be noticeable, but the talent and personalities in the ring will definitely give everything they have to give and more.  Complex storylines, high flying action, and even some hardcore matches all find their place here.  Honestly I find attending these events in person more entertaining than watching some of the more mainstream brands due to the “up close and personal” aspects of the show.  To showcase my point the hardcore match between Simon Sezz and Billy Mattern brought the action into the seating area and I got to witness the brutal beating that took place only a few feet away.

One of my favorite aspects of this show is the “Family Friendly” environment.  One thing worth noting is that the crowd interaction is set to high and at times may bring with it some checkered language, but for the most part things are fairly tame in that sense.  Talent merchandise is also available along with grab bags and wrestling figures for the kids.  The staff and talent are both amazingly friendly and try to provide attendees with a great experience.  Being a first timer I was greeted by quite a few “regulars” and staff members that set out to maximize my experience at the event.

If you are looking for a great way to spend your Sunday evening and don’t want to spend a ton of money, I highly recommended stopping by the KDW arena.  They also having a functioning site, YouTube and Roku Channel for those wanting to stay up-to-date with all the action.  These pages however could stand to be updated as they are a few months behind, but from what I understand the organization just moved to the new arena and my guess is they are fresh out of a transition phase.  I hope to see more emphasis placed on the digital front in the future so fans can stay in the loop if they are unable to attend any given week.
